They should (I cannot speak for countries outside my own) be trained in dealing with the matter professionally. Just be honest so they can help you. This applies to veterinary care also. If your dog got at your medicines or stash,tell the vet. They won’t report you, they just want to make sure to give your pet care that will help them.
